Very Sad Day Today

George, May 1, 2011

George is gone. He lasted only a few days more than the vet predicted. He passed away this afternoon. The warmer weather we've all been waiting for made his breathing more difficult. I put him in his "angels are everywhere" sleeping bag and buried him in the back yard. His good friend Cathy came out and planted violets on his grave. He was a good, brave, kind, and gentle dog. I'd like to believe he's with my mother now, she loved him, too.

My heart aches for you. I recently lost my dog too and it is so hard. God Bless you.

Oh dear Phyllis, as I'm typing this tears are blurring my vision; I know your sadness and am feeling your pain from my own similar experiences.

My heart hurts for your loss, Phyllis, and also because I remember all my dear pets that I lost too. I believe that George is with your mother and that all the animals we loved so are in heaven. They have to be - other wise how could it be heaven?

Several of us left you comments yesterday - but they seem to have disappeared with the blog problems. My heart hurts for you and also for the beloved animals that I lost. I just wish they lived longer. However, I do believe that we all will be reunited with them in heaven. After all - how could it possibly be heaven without animals?

George crossed the rainbow bridge that my dil always speaks of. He'll always be with you in heart. Hugs, Lee

Phyllis, I am so very sorry about your sweet George. I lost my Sweet William Wallace on the 9th of May. Maybe they are playing together and having a great time with no pain and just waiting for us to cross that Rainbow Bridge to play with them again. I miss him so and so does his companion Phoebe. He was her big brother and she still has problems going out at night with out him beside her. We were so lucky to have them for the time we did to have the memories we have to hold on to.
Hugs to you my friend. You can see my Sweet William Wallace at my blog
